My name is Glen Simpson, and I’m an instructional designer based in the Phoenix, Arizona area. I have over a decade of experience in instructional design and curriculum development with both adult and K-12 education.
I have always enjoyed learning new things, whether it’s an academic subject, a new skill, a game, or the lore of a fictional universe. That natural curiosity translates to my career. Before becoming an instructional designer, I found myself conducting trainings for colleagues at almost every job I’ve ever had, including my time as a high-school physics teacher.
Along the way, I have developed a number of different skillsets including eLearning development, video editing & videography, AI prompt engineering, integration of AI tools, and AI-assisted coding. In addition, I have subject matter expertise in mathematics, physics and other physical sciences, and computers and other technology.
I have witnessed first-hand the frustrations that come with poorly planned, unengaging training. I believe that no matter the subject or the audience, education cannot be allowed to be boring if it’s to be effective.
I am always on the lookout for my next opportunity to learn and grow, be it professionally or in my personal life.
